Smooth and easy comb-out Lice Clear is a liquid gel treatment that is clinically proven to eliminate head lice and nits in just three simple steps. Its primary ingredient is dimethicone, a safe synthetic lubricant that is odourless, non-irritating and hypoallergenic.
The gel formula also makes the comb-out process smooth and easy because it lubricates the hair and allows the comb to glide effortlessly through long, thick or curly hair. Since Lice Clear is pesticide-free, it can be safely re-applied if re-infestation occurs.
Lice do not jump or fly and do not transmit diseases. They feed on human blood. Without it, they will not survive for more than two days. Head lice can be spread whenever there is direct contact between the head or hair with an infested individual, as well as by sharing personal items such as hats, towels, brushes, helmets and hair ties. There is also a possibility of spreading head lice via a pillow or headrest. Head lice infestation is on the rise worldwide. This is due in part, to the emergence of genetic resistance to commonly used pediculicides such as malathion, pyrethrin, premethrin and lindane. Overexposure to pediculicides to treat resistant infestations may increase the risk of toxic side-effects from these agents. Clinical study done by Harvard University also supports that malathion exposure may contribute to higher prevalence of Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children. Children aged between six and 11 years are generally considered to be at a greater risk from pesticide toxicity because the developing brain is more susceptible to neurotoxicants and the dose of pesticides per body weight is likely to be larger for children
